Solution to Confusion

Standard

Devotion: 1 Corinthians 14:33

There are times we try to figure out God’s will and  His ways for our lives.  We can’t seem to hear His voice on the matters for which we are praying.  God is not the author of the confusion. He promises, “If we seek Him, He will let us find Him, when we search for Him with all our heart.”  It’s the waiting that can be difficult.

There are many venues through which our God talks to us.  His Word and prayer are the key ways He speaks.  He speaks through people too.  If you’ve been praying about a matter and someone you trust addresses the issue at hand; listen.  God will use the wise counsel of friends, to help you find your answers. His ways are higher than ours and His timing and ours can be days, weeks, months or even years apart.

It’s easy to panic or become fretful, when you can’t discern the voice of God.  Be patient.  Wait upon the Lord.  He definitely cares.  He definitely knows the plans He has for you; to give you a future and a hope.

You don’t want to be full of frustration, nor do you want to go your own way.  You want to be still and know that He is God.  He is working all things together for your good and His glory.  Stand on the last word you received from the Lord.  He will direct your path and order your steps.  He’s got you.  He knows the way you will take.  If need be, He will redirect your path.  He will not bring confusion.  He is God of the solution to your life’s confusion.

Prayer in Motion:

Lord, don’t let me succumb to the devil’s trap of confusion.  You will speak perfect peace into my life.
