Hidden Potential

Standard

Devotion:  Colossians 3:3

Each of us has a God given, God created potential. You see yourself one way and God sees you another.  He sees the hidden things; the hidden potential inside of you.

If you feel overlooked, unimportant and paling in comparison to others, void of value, unworthy of love, seemingly incapable of being transformed into something good and whole; then you are denying all that God created you to be.

Jesus said in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.  Old life is gone and new life has begun.”   We serve Jesus our Lord out of reverent fear. He wants you to bring others to Him with a sincere heart for the ultimate goal of pleasing God, in order to glorify God.

You must know you are loved by God and He longs to transform you by His mighty, outstretched arm.

It is through reverential fear of the Lord that we can walk by faith and not by sight.  Are you struggling with your life’s circumstances?   Often our situations are brought about by our own choices and other times; it is through no fault of our own. Either way, God can take what Satan meant for evil and turn them around for our good and His glory.

Do not listen to Satan’s lies, that tell you, there is no way out. You aren’t worth the clay you are made of.  Those lies come directly from the pit.  God sees your hidden potential.  Through His mighty hands and outstretched arms, He will accomplish what concerns you.

Prayer in Motion:

Lord Jesus, I am hidden in Christ and because of this truth, I know You are working all things together for my good and Your glory.  You are my treasure and I believe You will reveal the hidden things.  You are for me and not against me.  Thank You Lord Jesus.  It’s in Your Name I offer up this prayer and for Your sake alone. Amen!
