Prayer is the place of abiding for the Christian.  We are called to posture ourselves as those in need of the Omnicient, Omnipotent God.  We are finite.  He is infinite.  We come broken before Him.  He alone can calm the raging storm going on inside of us. He alone will anoint our wounds and heal all our diseases.
The Lord Jesus longs to draw us into His loving arms, for our protection, our deliverance, our discipline and our training in righteousness.  In Him we live and move and have our being. He has an open door policy.  He waits for you to come in and abide with Him, continually.  He who will never leave you nor forsake you, has made it possible for you to stay and abide forever; in a loving, lasting relationship with Him.
If you decide to accept His invitation to come into the “Abiding Place;” you will be hidden under the shadow of the Almighty. The pain of your circumstances may not be taken away. Although you may have to suffer these light and momentary afflictions; you will be anointed and comforted as you endure them for Christ’s sake.
The invitation is clear and strong.  May all who accept, come into His Abiding Place.
Prayer in Motion:
Oh Jesus, thank You for providing the abiding place.  ThankYou for allowing me to dwell in Your presence.  Thank You for the most amazing invitation that’s ever been offered to me.  There is no place I’d rather be than under the Shadow of the Almighty.
