God Remembers to Forget

Standard

Devotion:  Psalm 103:12

God never forgets anything.  Ever!  He is the One who knows your DNA, when a hair falls out of your head, when you lie down and when you rise up.  However, there is one thing He chooses to forget.  When we ask forgiveness for our sins; He removes them from us as far as the east is from the west and remembers them no more.  Ever!   Seems like an oxy-moron; right?  God remains the same.  He cannot lie and He does not change.

We need to go and do like wise.  Remember to forget.  Will you choose to forgive and forget the sins of those who have sinned against you?  In our human flesh it is not easy; however, it is possible, for those who have taken Jesus as their Savior.  “All things are possible; for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.”

If we choose to incorporate it into our daily routine; remembering to forget, can become a spiritual discipline.  God will certainly give you the strength and tenacity; to build you up in your most holy faith.  “In our weakness, He is strong.”

It is the Lord’s greatest desire to teach you and train you; to remember to forget.  He does not wish for you to be ladened down with the burden of anger, resentment and bitterness toward another individual.  Jesus made a way on His cross, so you don’t have to carry that grief.  He supplies you with peace that surpasses all understanding.  Who wouldn’t want that kind of peace?  It can never come from the world.  It comes from remembering to forget!

Prayer in Motion:

Lord, thank You for training me to remember to forget.  I want to obey You in this area.  You certainly have bestowed that gift upon me over and over again.  You forget my sins and remember them no more.  I want to go and do like wise.  I love You Lord.  In Jesus Name I pray.  Amen
