God Works in You

Devotion:  Philippians 2:12-15

“Work out your own salvation.”  Notice, it does not say work for, but work out your own salvation.  How? with fear and trembling.

This fear and trembling is with great honor, reverence and respect for the Lord God.  You were created for God’s good pleasure.  He longs to be the greatest focus of your life. Whether it’s parenting your children, doing your God given work or ministry; obey Him continually, all to the glory and praise of the Lord your God.

Everything you do, should first be filtered through the Lord God. We should long to please Him and obey Him more than satisfying our own flesh.  It’s not easy. We must die to our own selfish ways; in order to bring honor, glory and blessing to our Lord Jesus.

God wants to work in you for your good and His glory.  Will you allow Him the controls of your life?  Is there any “thing” you are holding back?  Is there a person you can’t release to Him, thereby allowing Him to do the great and mighty things you know not of?

Thank God for working in you.  Thank Him for loving you enough; to teach you and train you in righteousness.

All of the challenges in your life; are teaching you how to work out your own salvation. You can be confident God is perfecting His work in you.  The choice to obey and honor the Lord with fear and trembling, is up to you.

Prayer in Motion:

Oh God, I pray You will help me to know, that You are working all things together for my good and Your glory?  Would you help me to see that You are working in me, not just for my sake, but for the sake of those who are watching my life?  Thank You Lord, for the gift of salvation and may I work it out with fear and trembling.  In Jesus Name I pray.  Amen
