Last Convert

Standard

Devotion:     For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.                                           1 Thessalonians 4:16

Who will be the last convert before Christ returns?  God alone knows the answer to that question.  HIs eyes are always searching to and fro; looking for those whose hearts long to be completely His.  What does it look like, when a soul’s heart longs to be completely His?

One definition of complete, is “not requiring more work; entirely done or completed.”  What did Christ say right before He breathed His last?  It is finished.  His work on earth was done.

Because God is Omnicient; He knows when the last convert will pray to receive Him, as their Lord and Savior.  Our part is to go tell the good news.  We have a kingdom responsibility to be about our Father’s business.  Jesus told us to go and make disciples of all nations.

Many missionaries have had to come back home, due to the fact their sending organization could not longer support them. Shame on many of us Christians; who care more about our own pleasure, than helping support those on the mission fields.

“No man knows the day or the hour of Christ’s return; however,   if you believe Christ could return any day:

…are you going to go tell your neighbor the Good News?

Begin today; to prepare the soil of that neighbor or friend’s heart. Take them a gift of food.  Take them their paper.  Give their dog a treat.  You alone know what would bless them.   When you do these things, you are planting a seed of kindness.  “It’s kindness that brings people to repentance.”

Who knows?  It might be your neighbor, who’s the last convert. “Then, the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout and with the voice of the archangels and with the trumpet of God.”  “Come quickly Lord Jesus.”

Prayer in Motion:

Lord, may I be about telling Your Good News.  You gave Your life so I could share this best news ever with everyone.  Make me bold and courageous to share this gospel message.  Open up doors of opportunity.  I pray I will tell of Your love and salvation, until You come for me.  In Jesus Name.  Amen
