The Best Gift Ever

Standard

Devotion: Psalm 119:11

On November 11, 2016; I had the privilege to go down to the center of Charlotte, NC; to help hand out full copies of God’s Word.  About six months ago; my friends Amy and Alan Capps, were in that area and happen to see Muslims passing out copies of the Koran.  It struck them to the core of their being.  They decided to counteract by passing out copies of the true Word of God.

A man from their church began to purchase Bibles by the box fulls and donate to this godly cause.  I wasn’t certain what to expect but knew in my heart; I did not want to miss this opportunity.

God promises His Word will not return void.

There are people from all walks of life; all colors and creeds, wealthy, homeless, of different nationalities, old, young, clean, dirty, confident, dejected, angry and joyful. Many were listening to their I-pods and refuse to make eye contact.

We met Christians; as well as non-Christians needing prayer.  It was such a blessing to encircle them with love and prayers.

Some of them even prayed for us.

We were able to witness to a few who were open to hearing the gospel.  We heard many no-thank yous and one woman yelled to the top of her voice; NO!  Only one; out of hundreds of people passing by, seemed offended.

If you go by the corner of Trade and Tryon on the second Friday of each month between 12:00 and 1:30, you will find Alan, Amy, Ann, Doug and a lady named Margaret right in the center of this beautiful city, offering the best gift ever; free of charge, to a lost and dying people.

Prayer in Motion:

Lord Jesus,  I pray You will richly bless these precious friends who give a couple of hours of their time per month, to make a difference in the lives of the people in the city of Charlotte.  I pray many will be in Your kingdom, a a result of their obedience to pass out the best gift ever.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
