Opportunity is Knocking

Devotion:  Philippians 4:13

Paul had just told the Philippians; “You have revived your concern for me.  You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity.”

I have a good friend named Tina Hunt, whom I have been friends with for many years.  She is one of the most beautiful Christian women I have ever known.   Even though she struggles with lupus; and delights in care giving for her mom; she remains full of joy and peace.  She is amazing in her tenacity and determination to help those in need.

Tina believes, “She can do all things through                                        Christ that strengthens her.”

This dear friend is currently working to help the people of Lumberton; who were devastated by the recent flooding in the lowlands of  the North Carolina coastal region.  She and her friend Kimberly are putting together a HUGE event for this Christmas season, which they will host on December 17, 2016 in Lumberton, NC.

Tina needs funding for the venue, food, insurance and security.  I know there are many needs pulling on you precious readers, especially at the Christmas season.  However, if God leads you; would you prayerfully consider making any size monetary donation for this cause?   She needs checks to arrive before December 5.  If  you want to donate: Tina’s address is:

Tina Hunt 14017 Eastfield Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.  Would you please pray that God will provide all they have need of; to give these Lumbee people a nice Christmas?  Whether you give or pray or both; I know God will bless you exceedingly and abundantly beyond what you could ask or think or imagine. That’s the kind of God we serve.

Prayer in Motion:

Lord, thank You for being Jehovah Jireh for these Lumbee Indians.  I know You will provide. That’s part of Your character. You say, “We have not because we ask  not or we ask with wrong motives.”  Help us to pray without ceasing and believe God will provide for these His people.  In Jesus Name.  Amen
