A Prayerful Walk

Standard

Devotion:  James 5:16

Have you ever felt as if your prayers didn’t matter?  They went up to the ceiling and immediately fell back to the ground?  Here’s just one example of the power of prayer.

I recently shared the story regarding the prayer walk around an abortion clinic in Charlotte, NC.  There were a couple of thousand people who participated in this prayerful walk.   Several pastors and worship leaders  led us in prayer and praise, as we marched around in a peaceful fashion.  It’s one of the most powerful things I’ve ever experienced.

We prayed in one accord; beginning with praise, confession, thanksgiving and then intercession. We prayed God’s powerful Word, sharper than any two edged sword.  I remember thinking; “Wouldn’t it be awesome if the walls of this building just crumbled to the ground?” God’s Word says; “All things are possible to him who believes.”

With one purpose and in unity:

  • God’s Name was held high and lifted up.
  • Time was spent in confession.
  • Thanksgiving was poured out to the Lord.
  • Intercession was made for the doctors, the staff, the pro-              abortion people; as well as the moms and babies.

God’s amazing, divine intervention, gloriously took place:

On Monday morning; eight of the abortion clinic’s staff members turned in their resignation!  EIGHT!

The Bible declares, “A chord of three strands is not easily broken.”  Prayer can change hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. Never give up praying those effectual, fervent prayers. Your prayers always avail much!

Prayer in Motion:

“To God be the glory; great things He has done.  So loved He the world that He gave us His Son.”Our God is an awesome God.  He reigns in heaven and earth.  With wisdom, power and might; our God is an awesome God!”  “Praise God from whom all blessings flow!  Praise Him all creatures here below.  Praise Him above ye heavenly host.  Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  Amen.”
