The Last One Saved

Standard

Devotion: 1 Thessalonians 4:17

Can you imagine being the last one saved; as the Father stands up and says to His Son, “Go get your children.”?  The Lord alone knows the last one to pray the sinner’s prayer.

Can you imagine being the one who witnesses to the last one saved?  What a glorious way to go out of this world; having introduced a lost person to their Savior.

The ladies in my Sunday School Class are studying the book of Acts.  We had just finished discussing the apostles courage to witness, in spite of the never ending threat of persecution.  My friend Tina Hunt asked the question;

              “Can you imagine giving out the gospel to the                                       last person on earth to be saved?”

Together, you and the last one saved; would be caught up to meet Jesus in the air and live with Him in Heaven for eternity.

There could be nothing more exciting than leading another soul to Christ.  Whether or not you have the gift of evangelism; we are still responsible to give the seed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I can only imagine.  I pray right now for us to become stronger and bolder in our witnessing.  I’m asking that it might be one of you who’s the last one to lead someone to Christ.

Prayer in Motion

Oh God, may no weapon formed against my readers prosper. Please give us all a sense of urgency to share the blessed hope of our salvation. May we take Your command to go and make disciples seriously. Father, create in us a clean heart oh God and renew a right spirit within us.  Grant us courage to take the gospel into our Judea and Samaria.  May Your Words of Life stay in our hearts and on our lips.  In Jesus Name.  Amen
