Michael W. Smith wrote a song many years ago called, “Friends are Friends Forever, if the Lord’s the Lord of them. And a friend will not say never and the welcome will not end. Though it’s hard to let you go; in the Father’s hands we know, that a life time’s not too long to live as friends.”
Do you have people in your life who are engrained on your heart? In other words, their lives have had a huge impact upon yours. They have influenced you in many ways. You probably wouldn’t be the same person had God not brought them into your life.
God has blessed me with many people who are forever written on my heart. Some have experienced tragedy and overcame those tragedies. Some have left family and homeland to go serve in other countries. Some have stepped out of the box created for them by parents or caregivers to answer a higher calling.
Others have brought pure joy, hope and encouragement to your very soul. Some have blessed you exceedingly and abundantly beyond what you could ask or think or imagine. They know you have their back and you have theirs as well.
Whom has God engrained upon your heart? What are some of his or her characteristics? What keeps you close? Is it your unconditional love for one another? Is it the person’s ability to forgive quickly? Maybe it’s all of those characteristics put together.
I hate parting with anybody. Saying goodbye is hard. We know that our Christian brothers and sisters are engrained on our hearts. We are surely forever friends because of the blood of Jesus. in Jesus Name. Amen
Prayer in Motion:
Lord, thank You for giving me so many forever friends. I am blessed to have so many. You have written them on my heart for now and always. They are mine and I am theirs. Thank You for bringing us together. In Jesus Name. Amen
