I admit to you that I am less than organized. I can get in the mood to put things in order but it’s hard for me to stay that way. God says, “Let all things be done decently and in order.” I fall short.
We have cleaned out all of our cabinets and closets to be painted. I have thrown away or given away quite a bit; but probably should throw away and give away more. My friend Michele has helped me put things back in a much better order than this less than an A type personality would have done. She has selflessly spent countless hours; helping me make the inside of my cabinets and closets have a rhyme and reason to them.
Michele and her husband Tom came over on a Friday night to help Ben and I. Ben needed help with some plumbing and MIchele and I put more “stuff back.” The painter is still working on my closets; so there is still more to be put away. This Is taking weeks to complete.
The Dodds are selfless people. They spend countless hours saving babies lives. How do they accomplish this? They go down to the abortion clinic on Latrobe Street in Charlotte. Tom preaches and Michele counsels mommies and daddies not to take the lives of their unborn babies. Every single week there are lives spared.
These two precious friends selflessly give of themselves in many ways. They give of their time to their family, friends, neighbors and even to people they don’t even know. In other words they live out their looking up. They are Jesus to many people. I can only imagine how great will their reward be in heaven. I thank God for the gift of them in my life.
Prayer in Motion:
Jesus, bless the Dodds for their selfless giving. Bless all those who are reading this post who do the same. You said; “Give and it will be given to you; pressed down, shaken together and running over.” Thank You for being such a good God. You put this in the hearts of Your people to give back to those You have placed in their lives. Help me to be one of those people. In Jesus Name. Amen
